Hot Test of Iran’s Largest Lead and Zinc Processing Plant Started

Hot test of first phase of Mehdiabad processing plants, as the country’s largest lead and zinc processing plant started by test run of primary crusher line, managing director of Mehdiabad Lead and Zinc Complex said.

According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, the main equipment of the stone crushing line of Mehdiabad lead and zinc processing plant includes apron feeder, Jaw crusher and conveyor belt, Hamidreza Hemayat declared.

Operation of first phase of zinc concentrate production
considering project progress and start of hot test of the plant, the first phase of the zinc processing plant with 2 million tons of feed capacity and 200 thousand tons of zinc sulfide concentrate production capacity will be operated in the near future, he announced.

Supplying feeds for factories
Hemayat added: by operation of Mehdi Abad lead and zinc processing plant, feed for half of the empty capacity of zinc ingot production factories in the country will be supplied. So, domestic producers can provide the necessary conditions for using Mehdi Abad sulfide concentrate.
